Cold Smoke Eggnog Caramel Sauce

Nothing says Christmas more than eggnog and beer, so why what makeĀ a sweet, decadent caramel sauce using both?

Cold Smoke Eggnog Caramel Sauce

12 half pints

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Cold Smoke Scotch Ale
  • 5 cups eggnog
  • 4 Cup Whipping Cream
  • 5 Cup Dark Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 2.5 quart pot over medium heat
  2. Add Cold Smoke Scotch Ale, eggnog, cream and brown sugar
  3. Bring liquid slowly to a light boil and hold for 1 hour
  4. Whisk occasionally
  5. Remove from heat and whisk vigorously
  6. Allow to cool in pot for 5-10 minutes
  7. Whisk then transfer to 1/2 pint jars
  8. Refrigerate
